The Albert Township Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) is a quasi-judicial body that reviews and decides on requests for variances, appeals, and interpretations related to the township’s zoning ordinance. The ZBA ensures that zoning decisions are applied fairly while considering unique property circumstances, practical difficulties, and public interest.
The board meets as needed when a case is filed, and all hearings are open to the public. Regular meetings are scheduled for the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month, provided there is a case to be heard. Meetings take place at 4:30 P.M. at the Albert Township Hall, 4360 Hanson Street, Lewiston.
Members are appointed by the Township Board and serve to uphold the integrity and intent of the township’s zoning regulations.
